ACL Injury Prevention Clinic (T/TH, 6:30-8pm)
When: Every Tuesday and Thursday, June 5-28, 2012, from 6:30-8pm
Where: The Physical Therapy & Performance Center at The Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute, 170 Taylor Station Road, Columbus 43213
What: An 8-session, comprehensive jump training program, geared toward athletes grades 9-12, that combines plyometrics, strength training and flexibility. It is the only scientifically proven program that reduces the risk of knee injury, increases jump power and improves leg strength for sports like soccer, basketball and volleyball that involve pivoting, cutting or jumping.
SportsmetricsTM has been proven to:
* Reduce the risk of serious knee injury
* Increase vertical jump height, up to 4 inches
* Improve hamstrings to quadriceps strength and symmetry in right-to-left leg power
* Improve landing mechanics and reduce side-to-side movements at the knee
SportsmetricsTM focuses on female athletes' needs in training, but is not just for girls! Male athletes benefit, too.
