Dr. David L. Louis announces retirement

Dr. David L. Louis retired from practice on Monday, May 7. We are certainly sad to lose such an experienced physician, but we wish him the very best in his retirement and thank him for the contributions he has made to our practice.

His patients will have the opportunity to see any of the seven physicians in practice at our new Westerville facility at 560 N. Cleveland Avenue. In addition to general orthopaedists, our Westerville office also includes specialists in foot/ankle care; sports medicine; hand/upper extremity care and neck/spine surgery.

Dr. Louis served the orthopaedic needs of the Westerville community for more many years. For most of his career, he practiced alongside Dr. Christopher Holzaepfel at Westerville Orthopaedics, Inc.; however, in 2010 both physicians joined The Cardinal Orthoapedic Institute.

He has served as vice chairman of the Mount Carmel Medical Center and chairman of the orthopaedics department at Mount Carmel St. Ann's. His affiliations included the Ohio State Medical Association; Columbus Orthopaedic Society; Tri-State Orthopaedic Society; American College of Surgeons; American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons; and more.

Dr. Louis earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and performed his residency training at Mount Carmel Health System and what is now Nationwide Children's Hospital.

We are committed to providing a smooth transition to all of his patients, but if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call our Westerville office manager, Robin Johnston, at (614) 839-2300.

Sincerely,

Physicians and staff of The Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute
